It’s the Earth, with lots of pure water and not much land to speak of. I created the image in 3D using satellite photography, monte carlo global illumination, soft shadows, a directional lamp with a 25-degree angular radius, and sub-surface scattering (SSS)…this is not your typical Photoshop collage. :-)
